Beyond 2011, 2012, and....
The 2011 Project is not finished. Since 2012, many of the individual 2011 Project pieces were distributed. They went to donors and supporters of the project. They are not be intended as gifts. Rather the project’s supporters have been asked to act as curators.
An effort is being made to keep track of all the pieces. The intent is to call back all or some of the pieces for future installations ten, twenty or even more years in the future. The concept is to turn the individual pieces into something akin to a time capsule. Their meaning and interpretation will change over time. Change both in terms of the evolution of my body of work as well as broader changes in society.
